Mission Statement

The Mission of Camp Marietta is “To provide a place where participants can explore, take risk, and find adventure in a Cross-centered, Christ-honoring, Biblically focused environment.”

Our Focus

Camp Marietta and it’s staff – Introduce, Teach, Promote, and Glorify Jesus Christ. Our philosophy is seen through our efforts to invest in every camper’s life by building relationships. Thus, we hope that every camper would come to have a personal relationship with God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Purpose

The purpose of Camp Marietta shall be to promote spiritual growth and to exhaust every effort to reach for Christ all unsaved who come to these grounds; a place where the Spirit of God can speak to the individual and where there can be an emphasis on training in spiritual depth and understanding.

Opportunities shall be provided for becoming more aware of God’s love, Christ’s death on the cross for the sins of all people, Christian witnessing through everyday living and ways to appreciate God’s beautiful world.

A sincere effort shall be made to maintain a Christ like spirit of living together.  In such an atmosphere friendships, teamwork, cooperation, unselfishness, sportsmanship and many other desirable traits can be taught and practiced.  Recreation, camp-craft, bible study, ropes course exercises, nature experiences, and other wholesome activities shall be used to seek the interest of the campers.

*Please note: Camp Marietta is open for any child/youth no matter his/her affiliation. The camper does not have to go to church in order to come to camp.* – However, we teach and follow God’s inerrant Word and follow the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.

New “Mother/Daughter” Camp 2014

The Mother/Daughter Camp is for mothers and their daughters who are 5-12 years of age. This camp is very similar to that of other camps except it is condensed into a smaller week. The camp begins on Monday morning June 30th and concludes on Wednesday morning after breakfast on July 2nd.  Mothers, Aunts, Grandmothers, and any other female leader (at least 21 years of age) is invited to bring girls. The camp is designed to help mothers and daughters bond in such a way that Christ receives all the glory. The camp is still centered around its theme with opportunities for mothers and daughters to engage in fun activities that will help strengthen relationships and help develop a closer walk with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are very excited to see this camp become a reality and excited to see the Lord at work in the lives of our women here at Camp. This invitation is extended to first time campers along with campers that would like to come to camp for an additional camp week. The price for each camper is $115. (Both the mother and the daughter each pay the $115.) Mothers and/or female leaders are encouraged to bring more than one girl at a time. (i.e. One mother can bring all of her daughters if they fit the age requirement.) We look forward to serving our mothers and daughters at Camp Marietta.
